Kunduz
Several hundred Chechens were being trained at three camps near Kunduz, the capital of Kunduz province, which is controlled by the Taliban. One of the camps is located in the southern outskirts of Kunduz at an airport that in 1980-1989 was the site of the temporary quarters of the 201st Soviet infantry division.
